Life at Maggie’s

The toddler years are full of big growth, big feelings, and constant discovery. Our toddler program is designed to support this busy stage with a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore, build confidence, and start developing more independence.

As toddlers begin finding their voice, forming friendships, and learning how to navigate the world around them, we focus on the things that matter most: helping them feel secure, supported, and excited to learn. Through play, movement, and guided social-emotional development, we help children build confidence, curiosity, and early skills that set the foundation for what comes next.

A Typical Day

8:00 AM: Arrival, morning welcome, and a well-rounded breakfast
Children settle in, connect with teachers and friends, and enjoy breakfast together. Morning free play helps ease into the day.

9:30 AM: Daily discovery and themed learning activity
We explore the day’s lesson through hands-on activities centered around themes like nature, space, culture, music, or seasonal learning.

Toddlers have time to move, explore, and build gross motor skills through outdoor play, walks, or active indoor movement.
Enrichment Activity Example: Tumble Bus, Stretch & Grow Yoga

11:30 AM: Hot lunch
Children enjoy a nutritious lunch served family-style when appropriate, helping encourage independence and social connection.
Example Meal: Baked Salmon, Steamed Broccoli, Rice

12:30 PM: Nap and rest time
A calm, restful environment gives children time to recharge with approximately two hours of nap or quiet rest.

2:30 PM: Snack and gentle transition from rest
After nap, children ease back into the day with a healthy snack and quiet play.

3:00 PM: Creative play and afternoon enrichment
Afternoons may include art, sensory play, music, story time, or child-led activities that support curiosity and connection.

Don’t take our word.
Hear from our families.

“Our son has been attending for about half a year now and we truly love it. He is sensitive, cautious, and strong-willed, so we were nervous at first especially because he had never been to daycare before and had never fallen asleep independently. The teachers were so experienced, patient, and caring. They gave him the extra attention he needed as he adjusted. After about two weeks, he started to settle in, and after a month, he genuinely loved going. He even naps there independently, which still amazes us because he does not do that at home!

Maggie is a wonderful leader, and you can really feel the heart and thoughtfulness she brings to the program. The children do so many fun activities across the different buildings, from themed projects to holiday performances on stage, family events, and even caring for animals. The enrichment is far beyond what we expected from a family-based daycare.

All of the teachers in our son’s class are passionate, responsible, and kind. They have been flexible with our requests, and the space is always clean and organized. We feel so grateful to have found this place and would absolutely recommend it.”

“Global Early Learning is such a special in-home childcare center. It works closely with several other in-home centers on the same street, and the setup is honestly genius. Rainbow supports the babies, Global Early Learning Toddlers seems to focus on children around 18 months to 3 years old, and Global Early Learning Pre-K on the north side of the street seems to support the older 4- to 5-year-olds. It creates a really thoughtful little early learning community.

I was nervous to put my child in childcare because they have some learning differences, but Global Early Learning came highly recommended by a friend as an inclusive learning environment, and we could not be happier. We started in May of last year and have been continually impressed by the quality of the program.

Ms. Maggie has been an incredible resource for our family. Any time we are struggling with a behavior at home, she offers thoughtful guidance and support. When we are working on difficult skills at home, she finds ways to build those same skills into the school day so our child gets consistent reinforcement.

We only wish we had found Global Early Learning South sooner.”

“Both my kids go to Global Early Learnings and it is a standout daycare with engaging teachers who nurture curiosity and creativity in children. With stable staff ensuring consistency and care, kids enjoy fun activities that promote learning and play. It’s a warm environment where children thrive socially and emotionally. Specially callout to the specialist activities per day, Yoga, Stretch and grow, music, tumble bus etc.”
